Your contractor customer is not slow to pay you.
He has not been paid either.
Your receivable sits downstream of his. Close the phase he is waiting on and you close the invoice he owes you, in the same week.
BuildSigned pays 20% of the subscription, every month, for as long as the account you referred stays active. You keep 100% of anything you charge to set it up. There is no certification to sit through and no quota to hit.
Three kinds of partner, and each one for a different reason
Material distributors and suppliers
A contractor waiting on a progress payment does not stop buying. He asks you for terms instead, and his days outstanding quietly become yours. Every phase that closes on time is an account that pays you on time.
Contractor associations and buying groups
Slow payment is the complaint your members raise at every meeting and the one you have had nothing concrete to offer against. This is something to put in front of them that is not another insurance discount.
Consultants, bookkeepers and CPAs
Every January you rebuild the same file by hand, out of emails, text messages and photographs with no dates on them. Your client can hand you that file already assembled, and you can bill for the work you would rather be doing.
Four numbers, and not one of them carries an asterisk
The split is deliberate. The subscription is where this business lives, so that is the part we share, and we share it for the whole life of the account rather than as a first-year bounty. The transaction fee is capped at $95 and most of it passes straight through to the payment rail, so there is nothing there worth cutting in half and dressing up as generosity.
Four things this program does not do
No exclusive territories
Not today, and we would rather say so than promise one now and redraw it later. What is yours is the account you referred, and that one stays yours.
We do not sell around you
A contractor who arrives through you is tagged to you before the first call. If he later signs up on his own, the account is still yours and still pays.
We do not buy leads
Nothing is paid for an introduction, a list or a form fill. The commission starts when the contractor signs a contract and pays for it, and it stops when he stops.
Your customer stays your customer
We do not market anything else to the accounts you send, and we do not hand their details to anyone. What they hear from us is what their own contracts are doing.
Tell us how many contractors you already talk to in a week
That one number decides the rest: whether referring fits you better than reselling, and whether it is worth building you something to hand out. Write or call. There is no application form.
